  My name is   Bimasha Madhumini . I am 22 years old. I live in galle. I am a student at the   University of the Visual and Performing Arts . I love my university because it is a place where I can learn more about the things I love. Dancing is my life.  It is my favorite thing to do in the whole world. I practice three types of dancing:  Udarata  (Up-country),  Pahatharata  (Low-country), and a beautiful Indian dance called  Kathak . When I put on my dancing shoes and move to the rhythm, I feel very happy. I am a very  simple and kind person . I like to live a peaceful life. My religion is very important to me. I follow the teachings of  Lord Buddha , which help me to be a good person. I also pray to  Lord Ganesh and Lord Shiva . I believe they protect me and help me do my best in my dancing. For me, life is a mix of dancing, learning, and being a simple person. I want to work hard and become a great dancer one day.

 My favourite song is "Mage Duwe". Mage Duwe" is a very beautiful song sung by Supun Perera. It is a song about the love between a father and his daughter. I like this song very much because it shows how much parents love their children. In this song, the father looks at his daughter as a little princess. To a father, his daughter is the most precious treasure in the whole world. He describes her as a beautiful flower that he wants to protect from the wind and the rain. The song tells us that a father is always there to hold his daughter’s hand. Whether she is happy or sad, he is her best friend. He works very hard every day just to make her happy and to give her a bright future. I feel very happy when I hear this song. It reminds me of the warm hug of my own father. It is a song full of love, kindness, and protection. Every child who listens to this song will feel how lucky they are to have a loving family.

  My last birthday was on the   6th of March , and it was one of the happiest days of my life. I received many wonderful surprises and felt very lucky. 🥰🌹❤️ The day started with a beautiful surprise from my  best friend . She gave me a  lovely, delicious cake .  It was so sweet of her to remember my special day.  I also received two amazing gifts that I really wanted.  One was a  brand-new iPhone , and the other was the  most beautiful teddy bear  I have ever seen. It is very soft and cute. To start my new year with good thoughts, I went to the  Kovil . I went there to pray and get  blessings . It made me feel very peaceful and happy inside.  I spent the whole day with the people I love. This birthday was very special to me because of all the love and the great gifts I received. I will never forget this wonderful day! 🥰❤️💨

  Sri Lanka is a small but beautiful island located in the Indian Ocean. It is often called the   "Pearl of the Indian Ocean" because of its natural beauty. There are many reasons why our country is so special: Golden Beaches:  Sri Lanka is surrounded by the sea. We have beautiful sandy beaches in places like Hikkaduwa, Galle, and Trincomalee where tourists love to visit. Green Mountains:  In the central part of the country, there are high mountains, misty hills, and beautiful waterfalls like Dunhinda and Diyaluma. The tea estates in Nuwara Eliya look like a green carpet. Wildlife:  Our country is home to many animals. We can see elephants in Minneriya, leopards in Yala, and even blue whales in the deep sea. Culture and History:  Sri Lanka has a very long history. Ancient cities like Anuradhapura and Sigiriya show the greatness of our ancestors. The people in Sri Lanka are very kind and friendly.   Colors make our world beautiful. Among all the colors,   white   is the one that defines me the best. It is a simple and peaceful color that I love very much. I like white because it is  clean and bright . When I see white, I feel happy and calm. It reminds me of pure things like milk, fluffy clouds in the sky, and beautiful jasmine flowers. Just like the color white, I want to be a kind and honest person. White represents a  fresh start . Every day is like a blank white sheet of paper, and I can draw a good story on it by studying hard and helping others.  In my life, white is the color of  peace . It teaches me to be a quiet and friendly student. I believe that having a heart as pure as the color white is the best way to live. That is why white is the perfect color for me.

  My favorite thing to wear is the   Indian Tamil saree . There are many clothes in my cupboard, but I love sarees the most. I like wearing sarees because they make me look  very beautiful . When I wear a saree, I feel different and special. The colors are very bright and pretty. I like the sarees that have shiny gold borders and lovely patterns. I really love the  Indian style . It feels very traditional and grand. Even though a saree is just a long piece of cloth, it looks very elegant when it is wrapped around. When there is a party or a festival, I always choose a Tamil saree. It makes me feel happy and proud. It is truly my favorite outfit!

  The   Ruwanwelisaya   is a very famous stupa in Sri Lanka. It is located in the city of   Anuradhapura . People also call it the "Great Stupa." A famous king named  Dutugemunu  built this stupa a long time ago. He wanted to show his love for Lord Buddha. It is one of the tallest and most beautiful monuments in our country .   Buddhists believe that the  relics  of Lord Buddha are kept inside the Ruwanwelisaya. Because of this, many people visit it every day. They bring beautiful flowers and light lamps to worship. Ruwanwelisaya is a very important place in our history. We should be proud of it and protect it.

  We all have special days that we never forget. For me, my most "Golden Memory" is the day I performed in our Kathak dance show called  "Nuzrath."  It was a beautiful show based on Indian Mughal Kathak dance. The show was organized by my teacher,  Sir Mahesh Indika . He is a wonderful teacher who worked very hard to teach us the steps. Before the show, I was very scared to go on the big stage. I had "stage fear," and my heart was beating fast. But Sir talked to me and gave me courage. Because of him, I was able to go on stage with a big smile and dance without any fear. That day was so much fun. All my friends from the dance class were there. We practiced together for a long time, and our friendship became very strong. We helped each other and stayed happy together. When we were on stage in our beautiful costumes, we felt like a big family. We danced very well that day. When the dance ended, everyone clapped for us. That made me feel very proud and happy....

  There are many animals in the world, but my favorite animal is the   elephant . They are very big and strong, but they are also very kind. I love elephants because I see  God  (Gannu) in them. When I look at an elephant, I feel a very special and feeling in my heart. To me, they are like a symbol of peace and divinity. One of my favorite things is to  look into their eyes . Their eyes are very calm and deep. It feels like they are very wise and can understand how I feel. I also love  baby elephants  very much. They are so cute and playful. It is very fun to watch them run and play with their families.  Because of my love for God and the happy feeling I get when I see them, the elephant will always be my favorite animal.

  The moon is the most beautiful thing in the night sky. I love the moon very much. Every night, I wait to see its bright light. To me, the moon is like a silent friend who stays with me in the dark. When the moon is big and round, the whole world looks magical. I always take photos of the moon because its beauty makes me very happy. Sometimes, when I am alone, I even talk to the moon. It feels like a god or a kind spirit watching over me from the sky.

 The sunrise is a beautiful scene in nature. It happens in the East every morning. When the sun rises, the dark night ends and a new day begins. Before the sun comes up, the sky looks very colorful. We can see beautiful colors like orange, yellow, and red. The morning air is very cool and fresh. The dewdrops on the grass shine like little pearls in the sunlight. During the sunrise, the whole world wakes up. Birds start to chirp and fly out of their nests.  Flowers open their petals and look very bright. Farmers go to their fields, and children get ready to go to school. The sun is very important for us. It gives us light and heat. Without the sun, we cannot live on Earth. Watching the sunrise gives us a fresh and happy feeling to start our work. In short, the sunrise is a symbol of hope. It tells us that after every dark night, there is a bright morning.

 My favourite story book is Harry Potter. It is written by the famous author J.K. Rowling. The story is about a young boy named Harry. On his eleventh birthday, he finds out that he is a wizard. He goes to a special school called Hogwarts to learn magic. I like this book for many reasons: Friendship: Harry has two best friends, Ron and Hermione. They are always together and help each other. Magic: There are many magical things like flying broomsticks, magic wands, and talking hats. Adventure: Every chapter is full of excitement and surprises. The book teaches us to be brave and kind. It shows that we can win any battle with the help of our friends. I love reading Harry Potter because it takes me to a world of wonders. It is the best book I have ever read.
